I found the meaning of noir but I don't have these books or movies. I might not understand exactly the question. Shaft or Foxy Brown, really I don't know. Go away now.

Those aren't noir, they're blaxploitation!

The type of noir in the question refers to a style and mood of a book or movie. It's more like a dark "feeling." Classic film noir is black and white. Noir novels and movies are often about crimes or detectives. Something like that.
